Ok, so who besides myself have been keeping up with the new Saga edition previews on WOTC site? Is anyone interested in picking up the new book(s). I know Todd was talking about getting an RPG group together on the weekend and playing at someones house. However, I don't know if that would really be practical for me. I think anything that I do would probably have to be done down at the store. Maybe a session later in the afternoon on Sundays or something like that. If anyone is interested let me know. I plan on picking up the new corebooks next month when they are supposed to be released.

Oh good...then maybe we can stumble through some scenarios together. I was thinking of instead of doing one large RPG campaign, to setup several missions along a single story line. Preferably missions that could be accomplished in one or two sessions which ultimately link together and lead you to a final goal. Like for instance (not that I would use this) getting the death star plans to the rebels. Each "chapter" in the journey would be a session or two as the plans move from place to place. I've already started working on a Story line, I can break it down into chapters and then craft RPG sessions around those chapters. i have also been looking at the new saga edition previews as well. i have never played the game before but i will be getting the saga edition book.

I'm pretty sure I can adapt the story line for RPG play. The only issue I expect to have is with the mechanics of character generation and actually running the scenario, rolling and ruling and stuff like that. I want to start breaking the story line down into chapters and then laying them out from a RPG standpoint with background character genreations and adaptations to existing maps and see where I go from there. Ideally I don't want to run just 'shoot em up' type styles of RPGs. I'd like some thinking, some mystery, some diaglog, and of course lots of action sounds good. i got to get the new RPG book when it comes out so i will be able to help you out with scenarios.

I'd love to get a game together. nothing too hard core at first. Maybe just something to get everyone comfortable with the game and build the characters up a bit. I'm working hard outlining the story line now and then we can go from there to fill in the blanks. Yea I look forward to getting it too. You guys think we can get a group together or something??

Uh DV, that is a campaign. A short one, but still it fits the definition.

See Wake...it's times like this that I'm glad to have you around This is just a clear example of how uninitiated I am to the whole RPG thing. Which is why I'd much rather see it run by a more experienced person at first so I can at least get me feet wet. Interested in the job Uh DV, that is a campaign. A short one, but still it fits the definition.

I don't have the time right now, I also don't have the in depth geek knowledge of the SW universe that I think you guys would require. When is it going to be printed and available?
