A note to our HeroClix Players

An open letter to the Mid-Atlantic Region’s HeroClix Players,

Here at All Things Fun! we’ve spent the last 5 years supporting a game that we personally love and have enjoyed to play, HeroClix. We’ve hosted Pre-Releases, Launch Events, Holiday Parties in addition to our regular weekly events. We’ve all made new friends thanks in part to the ejoyment we’ve received from playing this game.

Yesterday in a surprise move Topps announced the immediate end of all WizKids Games operations and the suspension of all WizKids game lines including HeroClix.

At this time I wanted to pledge to the HeroClix community that our store, All Things Fun! will continue to support HeroClix organized play into the future. We will continue to host weekly events every Sunday @ 3pm and after the prize support from WizKids ends in December, we will draw upon our extensive reserve of past prizes, boosters and even store credit for prizing. (Which means you’ll get to chose from a great selection of toys, games & comics as your prize!)

One of the first changes we will initiate is to make every event unrestricted. If you have a piece you can play it! We also encourage players to check out our HeroClix Headquaters at: http://www.allthingsfun.net/heroclix_hq.htm for scenario details, dates, news and events as we don’t know how long the event locator on the WizKids website will remain accessible.

We will also be hosting Game Demo Days over the next few weeks so that if you are interested in another game you can learn about it and “try it out” first. But understand that All Things Fun! will continue to support the game you’ve been playing with us for the last 5 years.

For example in December we are running several scenarios including; Sinestro Corps War on 11/23 @ 3pm, Rogues Revenge on 11/30 @ 3pm and of course our annual Silver & Gold Tournament on Friday, 12/16 @ 3pm.

So while the creation of new HeroClix maybe coming to an end, the support of your game in the Mid-Atlantic Region is not. So build your best army and join us at All Things Fun! for some HeroClix!
