Sadly I could not make it to the premier event... so how did things turn out: number of players ? winners ? etc ?

1st- Mike M. playing Retribution
2nd- Joe playing Cryx
3rd- Me (Jason) playing Cygnar

Brian (Retribution) and Anthony (Protectorate) rounded out the group.

Much fun was had.

We definitely exhausted just about every possible tie breaker rule!! I had my match against Jason go to a scenario based tie (even though I suffered NO casualties, heehee...had to put that, sorry Jason :]  )....and Brian and I, Retribution vs. Cryx, fought to a tie over contested terrain. Again, it came down to losses suffered. And my Cryx found Retribution souls to be rather juicy!

Mike's Retribution squad took me down hard on the first match, controlling the ridge (damn advance deploy), devastating my Jacks (damn Warjack hunting units), and smashing my witches with my own thrown Warjacks....but, it was a lesson well learned and I was able to take a new strategy into my next couple of games.  I think that the Witch Coven has made a name for itself...or at least a major annoyance, haha...

I keep kicking myself over all the dumb procedural mistakes I made.  Like forgetting to allocate focus on the turn my Ironclad attacked the Nightmare.  One damn kill would have won me the game.

Unless something changes I won't be there for the next Steamroller but I will be there the week before (Dec 19th) if anyone's looking for a fight.

So no hordes players? I think by the 19th I should have an army assmebled and painted. I have 2 warbeasts painted now onto the warlock and units.

Game looks pretty awesome

So, Jason..looking for a grudge match!? I will gladly comply. I suppose I'll have to battle Brian as well. I think all of his units have been put on a seek and destroy mission for my Cryx legion...December is going to be tough though. A lot going on each Saturday. Anybody looking to battle any Sunday afternoons?

Is anybody playing hordes Legion? After the MKII Hordes rules are tested and the dust settles, I might do Legion as well

I picked up the Legion at the Black Friday sale.  I won't have any time to play until after the holidays too.  I'm hoping to have 500pts painted and ready for Jan 5th.

Are there any other kind? Grin

Unfortunately I work in retail so my December weekends are pretty full.  The exception being Saturday the 19th.  I think I'm going to start another thread so we can start listing our availability to play.  That way it doesn't get lost in this Steamroller thread.

Bill, glad to see you're going to be joining into the fray in Jan!
