No sweat, Drance    Glad you are still enjoying it.  And tolerating my character's...uh...eccentricities.  As well as my own lack-of-ability to properly read and engage a pre-combat situation.  At least we didn't head into that house of 25 guards!  Whee!!

...tho I may stop leading us into sewers.

Thanks all for a great session!  We'll try try to be there next Wednesday.  Twenty-five guards would have been a little much.  Now, I just hope we don't wind up feeding the spiders!

Nah, we could have taken those guards, no sweat! ;-) Wesley, your character (and my character's reaction to him) is good old school humor in roleplaying in action! It wouldn't be old school gaming if there wasn't some hilarity. But yes, looks like we finally ran afoul of the spider god's minions! Yippee! Bill, hope you and Pam can make it next week as well!

I realize that we just finished the game about an hour ago, but already I had to gush

Thanks again to everyone for making the time to come play week-to-week.  And especially thanks to Rich for running what has so far been a terrific campaign (not that I feel things will change dramatically anytime soon).  I think the whole thing gels well because of Rich's efforts and understanding of the game.

Hey, W, you beat me to the gushing ;-)

Yeah, even though it's sometimes tough to get out of adultworld and do some gaming, I'm glad that our growing group is making the effort to get together every week. Let's hope that we can keep up the momentum! I think we have a good combo of Rich's skills and the personalities that we all bring to the table. It's sometimes hard to find a group that works well together, and we seem to be doing just fine.

I hope to do a recap soon on ye olde blog. It might not be a blow-by-blow (my memory aint what it once was) but I think I can get across the good stuff. And hey, you guys are welcome to chime in and comment on my posts to tell me where I missed something cool!

I think the half-elf paladin was also awesome in taking a lot of were-rat musketeer damage for the team ;-) I was down to one hit point for a while there, all for you guys...special thanks to Pam/Sefa's goodberries keeping Drance in the fight! And let's not forget Wulfgar's bad-ass bearded axe cleaning house...

I think giving Struan an arquebus is a really bad idea...or a really good one...we'll see how things pan out. It's probably a good thing that Rich really isn't into critical fumbles. Otherwise Wesley probably rolls a 1 and shoots his big toe off...

Speaking of Struan, it was nice that the illusionist finally was useful...heh

Last night's session was RPG goodness at its finest!  Thanks to Rich for GM'ing (or CK'ing)!  It's lots of fun to see how the party is starting to gel in terms of teamwork.  I was holding my action in the ogre/musketeer tavern incident for several rounds just to see what happened next and watch Struan work his magic.  I almost forgot we were in combat!  Storming the front door of the slavers with Drance an Mustafa was also a tense but awesome moment.  I wasn't sure what we were gonna find behind that door.  Good thing we have Sefa's goodberries to fall back on after tangling with were-rats and their +3 to hit bonus!  I can't wait to see our paladin put that +1 longsword we found to good use!  Great session all!  Looking forward to next week!
